Fire service issues stark warning after crash on A617
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has warned drivers to be aware of the conditions when on the roads this winter - as they released dramatic images of a crash on a major Nottinghamshire road.
Crews from Ashfield Fire Station and Blidworth were called to the A617 near Mansfield on Wednesday, December 6, close to Abbott Road and Chesterfield Road.
A spokesperson for Ashfield Fire Station confirmed the driver ‘walked away with very minor injuries’.
But in a warning to residents, the spokesperson added: “Earlier today 1 appliance from Ashfield Fire Station and 1 from Blidworth Fire Station responded to an RTC on the A617.
“It is unknown as to what caused this incident but it serves as a timely reminder to drive to the conditions of the weather and the road.”
