Campaigners call for action on Hucknall road that is a 'danger to life'

Campaigners are calling for action to be taken on a Nottinghamshire road they warn is a ‘danger to life’.
A petition launched by Ashfield Independents councillors David Shaw and Lee Waters, pictured below, calls for am inspection of all gullies along Watnall Road, Hucknall, to be inspected and for these to be fixed.
The councillors are also calling for all potholes to be fixed as a priority and for flood mitigation schemes to be investigated.
In a joint statement, the councillors said: “The road is continually flooding and is a danger to life. Anytime there is even a small amount of rain, this road floods and is often closed causing chaos across the town.”
